Doctors, Devils & Drugs is the latest release from the Floyd Lee Band. Recorded during the filming of Full Moon Lightnin' a documentary film about Floyd Lee and Joel Poluck. DD&D is a stunning and deeply personal album which features the commanding vocals of Floyd Lee with lyrics written by the willfully obscure guitarist, Joel Poluck. In one sense the album is full of primal rage as heard on tracks like “Can’t You See” and “Empty Well” while at times offering glimpses of shear beauty on “Bird with a Broken Wing” and “Blues is a Beautiful Woman”. In uncompromising terms the band set out to redefine their own sound while challenging the mediocrity existent in today’s musical offerings.
